Get Your Indie On

Sony has announced the release date for several upcoming indie games releasing on PlayStation 4.  Cosmic Star Heroine will launch on April 11 followed by Full Throttle Remastered on April 18, with What Remains of Edith Finch closing out the trio of titles on April 25.

Other games involved in the promotion include Everything by developer David O’Reilly and Rain World by Boston-based studio Videocult, as well as Sony’s own PaRappa The Rapper Remastered.

The release dates were announced as part of Sony’s new Play Collective promotion on the PlayStation Store.  As with similar promotions in the past, Playstation Plus members who pre-order any of the games listed will receive a 20% discount.

At PAX East last week, I had the chance to go hands-on with Cosmic Star Heroine and What Remains of Edith Finch, and came away impressed by both titles.  Suffice it to say, I am beyond excited that the two games are releasing so soon.  And while I never played the original Full Throttle or PaRappa The Rapper, I am glad that modern remasters are bringing these two cult-classics to a new, younger audience.
