We’re back! A little later than usual, but we’re here!

It’s been a packed week for us. Game of Thrones Season 7 has concluded, and now we’re all sad. Be on the look out in the coming days for our staff’s thoughts on the recent season.

Aside from that, playing a lot of games and talking about a lot of games. Without further ado, here’s what we’re up to this week:

Jack

Thrilled to be purchasing and starting Uncharted: The Lost Legacy this week. So glad that one of my favorite series isn’t over yet.

A few episodes into Redemption Island, and surprisingly I don’t hate it. This is a confusing feeling–I don’t know where to go from here.

PJ

I just started and almost completed Super Mario 3D World. Even though I’m very biased toward Zelda games, this has quickly proved to be one of the best Wii U games I’ve played. It’s a perfect hybrid of the linear, 2D games while keeping the controls and platforming from the 3D entries. I’m excited to really hit some of the brutally intense, post-game worlds I’ve heard a lot about.

Otherwise, Breath and P4G. You know the drill.

Last week for me was all about Songrunner, a new game by lone developer Nathanael Weiss. Read more here for my full review of this Zelda-inspired roguelike!

Up this week? Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle! Been a long wait for this game ever since it was officially shown off at this year’s E3. While the Switch has had a phenomenal year thus far, things should really kick into gear from this moment onwards, starting with Kingdom Battle and culminating with FIFA, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, and, of course, Super Mario Odyssey! Expect my thoughts on Mario + Rabbids at a later date!

Games purchased: 2

Trying to play Enslaved: Odyssey of the West, but I’m struggling with the terrible frame rate. However, the art style is great and the gameplay is solid, so I’m continuing with it.

Might pick up Dark Souls 1 again, seeing as how it’s one of the last remaining good PS3 games I have left.

Augustine

Watching this on repeat all week:

Also, Dota 2 and World of Warcraft.
